The bolted connections of the blanket system assembly and maintainability rely on Low Friction Coating (LFC) based on the Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) to provide both anti-seize and low friction functions.

The thermal loading of the Blanket system is mainly due to plasma surface heating (radiation & convection) and volumetric neutron heating. A pressurized water circuit flowing through the main components (First Wall and Shield Blocks) allows cooling down the system. But some elements (pads, bolts, etc.) imbedded in the system are only cooled by thermal contact (and radiation) to the main water-cooled components, this conduction needs to be quantified accurately according to blanket operational conditions.

The scope of this tender is the design, qualification, manufacturing and on site installation of thermal insulation for Cryostat bellows interface. The Cryostat is one of the major components of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ machine. It is a large, stainless steel structure surrounding the vacuum vessel and superconducting magnets made up of a single wall cylindrical construction and is roughly 30 meters tall and wide.
The main functions of the Cryostat are to provide a vacuum environment and to support the Tokomak basic machine main components. It is interfacing with the Tokamak Building at the regular and irregular port penetrations through 54 bellows which functions are to ensure the leak tightness between the related environments and to compensate the relative movements between the Cryostat and the Tokamak Building.The layout between the Cryostat Bellows and the Tokamak Building consists of specific embedded plates which are either rectangular or circular. The structural capacity of the embedded plates is currently exceeded due to some thermal loading effects (fire and cryogenic accidents) which are applied directly on these structures. In order to resolve this issue, the scope of work of this tender is to implement thermal insulation at the Cryostat bellows / Tokamak Building interfaces.

• Detailed design of openings sealing/infilling solutions to comply with all the functional, mechanical and interface requirements. Specific design solutions could be developed when complex configurations are encountered.
• Qualification program (including mock-ups fabrication and testing campaign) to demonstrate compliance and performance of the selected sealing solutions against project nuclear safety and technical requirements such as: fire sectorization, confinement, shielding, ageing, decontaminability, seismic loading, etc.
• Realisation of other mock-ups, when needed, to confirm constructability and correct implementation of selected sealing system solution (e.g. high cables saturation ratio, thick walls...).
• Issuance and management of infilling project deliverables such as quality plans, Job Safety analysis, technical specification, execution planning, method statements, installation drawings, installation procedures, inspection plans etc.
• Material supply and onsite sealing/caulking works for mechanical, electrical and mixt systems openings, located essentially in nuclear buildings of ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ site.
• Temporary sealing of mechanical, electrical and mixt systems openings for which final closure will not be required for ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Augmented First Plasma (AFP) operations, but where at least fire sectorization requirement remains.
