On Thursday 8 October, a new chapter opened in the 20-year history of Tore Supra. The CEA-Euratom tokamak, upgraded and fitted with a new heating and current drive system, began a campaign to test this "new hardware." One of the components being tested has been precisely designed in order to cope with a neutron constraint similar to the one expected in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ.
Let's join Gabriel Marbach, Head of the CEA Research Institute for Magnetic Fusion (IRFM), and his deputy Bernard Saoutic in the Tore Supra control room. Watch the video here.
