G.S. Lee's last MAC meeting

Director-General Motojima hands G.S. Lee a framed aerial view of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ platform and a photo booklet autographed by his colleagues from the MAC. Deputy Director-Generals Carlos Alejaldre, Richard Hawryluk and Remmelt Haange, and Head of the Office of the Director-General Takayuki Shirao look on.
Gyung-Su Lee's mandate as Chair of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Management Advisory Committee (MAC) will end with the year 2011. Last Wednesday, after the MAC drafted the final words of its official report, ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Director-General Osamu Motojima rose to thank and congratulate the "" who had steered MAC for the past two years.

In a May 2010 Newsline interview, G.S. Lee explained that "in a big international project like ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ each party has its legitimate concerns and differing opinions. This is very normal. The challenge is to come up with a decision that is supported by all through faith and trust."

Up to the last MAC meeting he chaired from 18-20 October, this is precisely what he was able to achieve.
